国际文凭组织（IB）的使命是培养勤学好问、知识渊博、富有爱心的年轻人，其中DP项目凭借独具特色的课程内容和严谨的评估方式，培养学生在智力、社交、情感和身体等各方面综合素质能力，为学生进入世界名牌大学做好充足的准备。

The International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better world through multicultural understanding and respect. Relying on unique course contents and strict assessment criteria, DP focuses on developing students’ intelligence, communication, social skills, emotional management and health to get them fully prepared for entering world top universities.

苏州外国语学校相城校区在2018年5月31日获得国际文凭组织授权，正式成为DP候选学校。

On 31st May 2018, Suzhou Foreign Language School Xiangcheng Campus was recognized as a DP candidate school.

DP课程是一个具有学术挑战、学科均衡、全球统一的教学大纲、严格的评估体系及统一的毕业考试的大学预科项目。为了更好的迎接2019年首届DP学生的到来，高中部提前一年储备、培养教师，开展课程建设，搭建课程资源。

DP is a higher education preparation programme with challenging academics, balanced subjects, unified teaching syllabi and strict assessment criteria. In order to get fully prepared for the curriculum implementation in 2019, the senior high school began recruiting and training teachers one year in advance, focusing on curriculum development and design, and procurement of resources.

研读各学科官方指南、钻研教材

Study the official guides and textbooks

高中部老师根据各自学科内容及要求，补充图书及资源。同时，高中部全体教师按照DP官方指导要求，完成了课程文件的编写。此外，作为一所K-12一贯制学校，高中部老师积极探索初中国际课程与DP课程的无缝衔接，初步完成了初、高中衔接课程大纲起草工作。

Senior high school teachers search for more related books and resources based on their own subjects. In the meantime, they have all accomplished the academic documents of each subject in accordance with the DP official guide. In addition, as a K-12 international school, senior high school teachers actively explore the seamless connection between DP and the international courses of junior middle school, completing the first draft of the bridging course outlines.

高中部老师积极参加IB官方培训，多数老师已经顺利通过官方线上及线下培训，获得IB官方证书。其他老师的官方培训工作正按照培训计划有序进行，所有学科老师将于2019年8月份前完成官方培训。

Several teachers from our school have successfully accomplished the online and off-line training, achieving the IB certificate. The official training of other teachers is systematically carried out according to the schedule, and all subject teachers will complete their training before August 2019.
