在第35个教师节来临之际，苏州外国语学校相城校区特举办了一场“坚定信仰，静待花开——2019年教师节庆祝暨优秀教职工表彰大会”。

With the 35^th Teachers’ approaching, Suzhou Foreign Language School held the 2019 Teachers’ Day Celebration and Award Ceremony, which was themed at “Promote Efficacy and Achieve Great Success in the New School Year”.

General Principal Mr. David Li gave a speech at the ceremony.

总校长李春雷先生首先代表学校董事会和校领导，向全体教职工致以节日的问候和诚挚的感谢！同时总校长也回顾到，在短短两年时间内，学校一线教师从初创时的11名，增加到现在的278名（含国际教师36名），教职工总人数超过390名。随着中学部的建成投用，教师队伍还会进一步扩大，学校也将不断完善管理，积极发挥党支部、工会、各种俱乐部的作用，想方设法让大家动起来、唱起来、跳起来，让学校变成老师们的家园，提高老师们的幸福指数。

On behalf of the School Board and school-level leaders, General Principal Mr. David Li firstly expressed his sincere greetings and thanks to all faculty and staff! Meanwhile, he also reviewed that in just two years, the number of teachers has increased to 278 (including 36 international teachers) with 11 of them having been working here from the very beginning of this school, and the total number of all faculty and staff is now over 380. With the opening of the secondary school, the faculty will continue to expand. The school will also improve the management, and take active advantage of the Party Branch, Teacher Union, and all kinds of clubs, so that all of the teachers could enjoy their time at school, turn the school into the homeland, and increase their happiness index.

秋菊溢彩，桃李芬芳。在这个全体教师的年度盛会上，各学部在艺术中心的指导下，精心编排了丰富多彩的文艺节目。

During this annual event, all divisions prepared various and wonderful programmes under the guidance of the Art Centre.

大会表彰了创校以来一直辛勤耕耘、默默奉献的教职员工。这是一种肯定，更是一种激励，总校长希望全体教职员工能以他们为榜样，开拓进取、再创佳绩。

During the ceremony, those who have been dedicated to their work since the foundation of the school were also awarded. It was a way to honour them, but it was more like an inspiration for all staff. Our General Principal hoped that all faculty and staff could follow in their footsteps, forge ahead, and make more achievements.

新学年，希望全体教职工都能坚定信念，坚守信仰，以建设精品学校为目标，以教育为一生奠基为使命，踏浪平波，砥砺前行，共同建设好我们美丽的新家园。

In the new school year, it is hoped that all faculty and staff could forge ahead through thick and thin with the goal of constructing a Quality School, and the mission: Education for life.
