总校长李春雷先生表示，今年是新中国成立七十周年，70年来取得的巨大成就有目共睹，同时，波澜壮阔的历史也告诫我们：有了强的国，才有富的家。希望苏城外的学子们从小树立远大理想，学会主动学习，学会挑战自我，时刻牢记平门塘“修正治国平天下”的提醒，时刻牢记玉成路“艰难困苦，玉汝于成”的告诫，以IB的十大素质要求自己，努力践行“乐群博学”的学风，勤于思考，勇于行动，善于交流，努力成为勤学好问、知识渊博、积极进取、富有爱心的终身学习者，为民族振兴和更美好、更和平的世界贡献力量。

The principal said that this year is the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. At the same time, the modern Chinese history has already revealed the truth that the stronger the country is, the more well-being it brings to its people. Hopefully, the SCFLS students could establish ambitious goals at a younger age, learn to challenge themselves and be active learners. They should always bear the idea “self-cultivating, country management and world peace”, and the warning “adversity makes a better man” in mind. Behave as the IB Learner Profile requires everyone to do, implement the academic atmosphere “Affiliative and Knowledgeable”, and become inquiring, knowledgeable, active and compassionate lifelong learners who are thinkers, risk-takers and communicators.
