SCFLS 高中部家长开放日 | 家校携手 共育成长
苏城外国语学校以创建“精品学校”为目标,致力成为一所与众不同的国际学校。为构建学习者社区,增进家校沟通,推进我校“全纳全人”教育,10月25日,我校高中部举办了家长开放日活动。
Soochow Foreign Language School defines “Quality School” as its development strategy and strives to be a unique IB World School. On 25th October, our senior high school organized the School Open Day to construct the learner community, to enhance family-school communication, and to further promote “Holistic Inclusive” education of our school.



教育的本质是扬长补短,承认差异和尊重差异,因材施教,有教无类。教师落实ATT,将IB的理念融入课堂;学生锻炼ATL,将学科知识内化于心,共同演绎了一堂堂充满活力和探究精神的公开课。
The nature of education is to give full play of their strength to offset their weakness, to admit and respect differentiation, to teach students in accordance with their aptitude, and to provide education for all people without discrimination. Teachers will implement ATT (Approach to Teaching), and integrate the IB philosophy into class, while students will exercise ATL (Approach to Learning) to achieve mastery in all subjects. A lively and inquiry-based observation class was thus presented to the parents.


上了国际高中并不意味着轻松,为了培养学生的自我管理技能,我们实行严而有度的学生管理制度。高中部学生处副主任陆老师分别从学生成长档案、学生仪容仪表要求、学生零食规定、学生电子设备规定及电脑使用规定和学生计分条例规则及处分种类为家长做了详细讲解,并且展示了高中部德育核心团队、学生会和家委会的架构图以及CAS的内容和规划。
High school life is not easy to adapt to. The rigorous student management policy is implemented to cultivate their self-management skills. From the Student Growth Portfolio to the requirements on students’ appearance, from snack regulations to the electronic devices and computer using regulations, from the demerit point system to the punishment of violation of the rules, senior high school Student Office Deputy Director Elaine Lu made an explicit explanation for parents. Also, she illustrated the core team of ethical education in senior high school, the organizational charts of both the Student Union and Parent Committee, the contents and planning of CAS.


高中部学习处主任兼DPC方老师对教学常规做了报告,如SEN,校长视导课,学生语言档案,Managebac,中英文数据库。
Senior high school Learning Office Director and DP Coordinator Jessica Fang made a report on the teaching routines, such as SEN, inspection classes, student Language Portfolio, Managebac, Chinese and English databases.

陆老师介绍了剑桥国际课程的教育方法、课程设置和分数等级等。
Also, Elaine Lu introduced the teaching approaches of Cambridge international courses, curriculums, grades and etc.


升学指导中心主任助理金老师对升学指导前期规划工作进行了总结,向家长汇报了目前意向国家、专业和托福/雅思报考的情况,以大学申请为主题,引导家长重视学生发展,共同探讨如何更好地进行准备,并对常见问题进行了专业指导。
University Counselling Centre Assistant Director Connor Jin made a summary about the preliminary work. He reported to the parents about students’ ideal countries for oversea study, majors and IELTS/TOEFL tests schedule. Themed on university application, he guided the parents to focus on student development, made discussions on how to make better preparations, and gave professional counselling on some common problems encountered.

家长与各科教师根据学生的个体情况,进行深度讨论中。
Parents were having in-depth discussions with subject teachers on students’ situations.

半天的活动,内容满满,家校情融,拉近了家校距离,融合了家校关系,让家长更多地了解孩子,熟悉学校,感受学生在校的学习和生活氛围, 为进一步提升家校合作奠定了坚实的基础。
This half-day event shortens the distance and promotes the relationship between home and school, so that parents could know more about their children and the school. This helps to lay a solid foundation for improving the family-school cooperation.
