12月4日-8日，由总校长李春雷先生带领的苏城外国语学校代表团对美国几所友好学校进行了考察访问。此次访问旨在落实姊妹学校项目和国际高中合作项目，为我校国际高中学生冲刺美国名校提前搭建好平台。代表团一行重点考察了一所位于康州首府东哈特福德的IB高中——Connecticut IB Academy（CIBA），双方达成了重要共识，并签署了合作备忘录。至此，苏城外国语学校与康涅狄格IB高中正式成为姊妹学校。

From 4th to 8th December 2019, General Principal Mr. David Li and his delegation paid a friendly visit to a few partner schools in the U.S. Aiming at implementing the partner school project and building the platform for our international senior high school students to help them get admitted into top universities of the U.S. The delegation focused their visit on an IB high school in East Hartford, the metropolis of Connecticut—Connecticut IB Academy (CIBA). An important agreement was reached, and MOU was signed by both sides. Till now, Soochow Foreign Language School has become officially the sister school of CIBA.

12月16日-17日，Yoon Ah Lee女士代表国际文凭组织，来我校进行了为期两天的PYP幼小项目咨询访问。Yoon Ah Lee女士就PYP相关议题，包括PYP课程设置、学习者社区构建、对学校语言政策的理解和支持、评估政策和PYP推行以来的机遇和挑战等多项内容，与校领导、老师、学生、家长进行了深入交流。总校长李春雷先生表示，苏城外国语学校对于PYP授权的决心坚定不移，并将认真采纳顾问提出的建议，完善项目标准与实施细则，制定出切实可行的实施方案，为顺利获得授权提供强有力的保障！

On 16th to 17th December 2019, Ms. Yoon Ah Lee from IBO conducted a 2-day PYP consultation visit in our school. Leaders, teachers, students and parents openly spoke about the school philosophy, the learning community, the challenges and opportunities in the implementation of PYP. The school is extremely inspired by her positive feedback and more determined for the authorization. We will take the recommendations and make serious action plan to better meet the programme standards and practices!

12月21日，苏城外国语学校举办了冬季大型招聘会，在学校收到的2536份简历中，经过人力办层层筛选，严格把关，200多名来自全国各地的优秀青年教师获得现场考核机会，竞聘48个岗位。应聘人员中，有来自全国各地教学经验丰富的名特优教师，还有毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学、康奈尔大学、纽约大学、爱丁堡大学、香港中文大学、南京大学等名校的精英人才！选择改变命运！新的一年，我们期待更多志同道合的人才一同加入苏城外大家庭！

On December 21,SCFLS held the 2019 Winter Job Fair. Of the 2,536 resumes received and screened by HR, 200 outstanding young teachers from all over the country stood out to compete for 48 positions.Among the candidates, there were experienced teachers from all over the country, as well as excellent graduates from famous universities like University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, New York University, Edinburgh University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Nanjing University and etc.! Choices change destiny. The bell for the New Year is about to ring. In 2020, we look forward to seeing you！

在刚刚落幕的2019年苏州市青少年创意编程竞赛中，苏城外国语学校6名参赛学生在1500多名选手中脱颖而出，表现出色，取得了傲人的成绩！五年级1班于倬、高紫函在“新中国成立70周年成果展”创意编程赛项目中均荣获一等奖，八年级2班陆致成在“AI技术与运用”编程能力现场赛项目荣获一等奖。除此以外，今年我校学生相继参加了第11届上海模型节竞赛，2019年江苏省青少年科技模型大赛人工智能专项赛苏州选区等多项赛事，屡获佳绩！

In the 2019 Teenager Creative Programming Competition of Suzhou, 6 students from Soochow Foreign Language School stood out. In the project of “70th Anniversary for the Founding of New China Exhibition”, Yu Zhuo, Gao Zihan from Class 1 Year 5 won the first prize in their first ever competition. In the on-site competition “AI Technology and Application”, Lu Zhicheng from Class 2 Year 8 won the first prize. Apart from this competition, our students also participated in many competitions such as the 11th Model Competition in Shanghai, 2019 Teenager AI Model Competition of Jiangsu Province, Suzhou Division. 

苏城外国语学校模拟联合国社团8名学生代表参加了第八届泛长江三角洲高中生模拟联合国大会。参会同学经过两天的精彩讨论，五个议题的唇枪舌战，收获颇丰。国际高中部夏奕凝同学在参赛期间踊跃发言、突破自我、彰显风采，综合运用自己ATL课堂上学到的自我管理技能、社交技能、交流技能、思考技能、探究技能，凭借清晰的结构、严谨的逻辑、精准的用词获得了最佳立场文件写作奖。

Some representatives of the SCFLSMUN (a total of 8 students) participated in the 8th Pan Yangtze River Delta High School Model United Nations Conference. All participants pay, gain, and grow in this conference.During the competition, Ellin Xia spoke actively with a strong national identity, to break through herself, to show her style, and to comprehensively use her self-management skills, social skills, communication skills, thinking skills, and research skills learned in her ATL class. She won the Best Position Paper Award for her clear structure, rigorous logic and precise use of words.

圣诞节当天，苏城外国语学校处处洋溢着节日的喜悦。国际幼儿园圣诞派对MIX冬至欢庆，只“味”你而来，期待值满满的庆祝活动，让宝贝们嗨翻天；小学部圣诞老人空降校园，“全纳全人”墙化身网红打卡地，中学部各班特色庆祝活动火热开展，寓教于乐，多元课堂乐不停！

At Christmas, SCFLS was filled with the festive atmosphere. The International Kindergarten held the party to celebrate this festival. The Santa Clause also visited our primary school to give out gifts. Take a Wechat-worthy photo in front of our “Inclusive Holistic” wall in the main hall. All classes organized various celebrations to engage the students!

为许孩子们一场完美的艺术之旅，苏城外国语学校迎来了第二届“玩美”艺术作品展。本次艺术展一共征集作品1351件，内容涵盖了书画、木工、3D打印、陶艺、摄影等题材，本着高要求、优水平的原则，艺术中心评审小组精挑细选，最终有168件作品入选。入选作品形式新颖，风格鲜明，稚趣盎然，都出自同学们的原创。作品凝聚着同学们的智慧和创造力，展现出大家对生活的热爱和对艺术的追求。

Although winter has come, SCFLS still ushered in the second “Awesome Art” exhibition to offer kids a wonderful journey to arts, which helped to enlighten the whole campus. In total, 1,351 works have been collected, with 168 finally selected out based on the rigorous criteria. With great devotion from the students, and their passion for both life and art, the artworks on show this time are innovative in form, and distinctive in style.

为增强学生对音乐文化的体验，结合SCFLS“全纳全人”的发展目标，苏城外国语学校开展了以“音爱而生 感恩有你”为主题的音乐节活动。内容包括戏曲模仿秀、“舞林大会”、乐器演奏、千人画卷、音乐电竞大赛等环节，各活动环环相扣，或青春动感，或意蕴十足，同学们纷纷报名体验，现场互动性强，气氛热烈，为忙碌的学习生活增添了灵动的一笔。

Our festival is designed to have suitable activities for everyone, from imitation show, dance competition to music e-sports competition that got each student ready for a brand new day.
