All teachers ≤ 40 years old in the International Programs Division

在同一时段，参赛教师分批进行比赛，每组4人，时间5分钟/组，书写相同规定的中英文内容。

Participants competed in groups in the same period of time. 4 participants in a group with 5 minutes given. All of them were asked to write the prescribed contents in both English and Chinese.

参赛教师自选一堂课的板书设计，娟秀或苍劲的板书，充分展现了“板上育桃李”的深厚功力。

Participants choose the blackboard design of a particular class by themselves, which can reflect their solid basic skills.

参赛教师在赛前都进行了充分的准备，从说课材料的编写到课件的制作，从时间的把握到教法的运用，都力求做到一丝不苟，精益求精，体现着一线教师们对国际项目核心目标的认知和融合。

The teachers who participated in the competition had made thorough preparations before the competition. All teachers tried their best to achieve meticulousness and excellence, reflecting the front-line teachers’ recognition and integration to the core of international programmes. 

英语能力是国际高中教师的必备素养，在本次考核中，试卷分为英语教师组和非英语教师组，主要考察教师的英语阅读理解、交流技能、研究探讨、有效的倾听和制定论点等技能。

English proficiency is essential for all international senior high school teachers. The exam paper were divided into the paper for ESL teachers and non-ESL teachers with the question types of reading comprehension and writing, thus mainly evaluating teachers’ skills in English reading comprehension, communication, research, effective listening, making arguments, etc.

课件制作的环节体现多媒体技术在课堂教学中的应用，推动教师团队现代化教学手段的运用，提高教师多媒体课件制作水平，从而不断提升课堂教学效率和教学质量。

Courseware design reflects the application of multimedia technology in classroom teaching. Through promoting the use of modern teaching methods, and improving teachers’ courseware making, the efficiency and quality of teaching can thus be continuously improved.

5月28日，苏城外中学部国际项目组织开展了表彰大会，表彰在此次比赛中表现突出的青年双语教师，激励所有青年教师继续锻炼语言能力，增进专业素养，打造一支高素质的教师团队。

On 28th May, the Secondary School (International Programs) organized the Award Ceremony to award the young bilingual teachers who made outstanding performances. Through this event, it is also aimed to inspire all young teachers to improve their language and professional skills, which are essential for a team of high quality.

在苏城外第二届青年双语教师基本功大赛中，每位青年教师都能根据学科特点，结合自身优势，选择适合自己又能展现自我素养的教学内容组织教学活动。每一节精彩的教学设计，都能积极践行与学科素养和IB理念的紧密结合。

青年教师基本功大赛是提高学校教学质量的一种最直接、有效的方式，有力地提升了教师综合素质、专业化水平和创新能力，从而共同开创未来教育教学的新局面！

During the whole process, all young teachers could carry out teaching activities according to the characteristics of different subjects and their own advantages by choosing the teaching contents suitable for them. The wonderful teaching design of each class can be actively practiced with IB philosophy. Education is the foundation, and the quality is the essence. The quality of teaching is the lifeline of school education. The Young Teachers’ Basic Skills Competition is one of the most direct and effective ways to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools, strongly enhancing the overall quality, professionalism and innovation of teachers. Therefore, the prospect of teaching and education can be created together.
