时值六月仲夏，充斥着汗水、激情与青春芬芳，

苏城外迎来了一场竞技盛会，

 苏城外国语学校 & 苏州工业园区外国语学校 

 校际篮球友谊赛 

在这个令人醉心的季节里拉开了序幕。

Filled with sweat, enthusiasm and fragance of youth, a sports event was held in SCFLS in this early summer, which is a basketball friendly match between SCFLS & SIPFLS.

教练现场表演扣篮，与学生3对3半场挑战赛，学生们丝毫不怯场，几位教头也大显身手，接球、过人、起跳、暴扣，一连串的动作令人眼花缭乱，虽然只有短短几分钟，熊熊战火，已然升起。

At the beginning of this match, the coaches performed dunks surrounded by a great cheer, after which, the host announced that some candidates would be selected on spot to have the 3V3 half-court game with the coaches. The selected candidates were still energetic even though their rivals were the coaches who performed a series of professional passes, dribble-ins and dunks. Although it was just several minutes, the atmosphere was already burning.

苏城外国语学校的总校长陈杰先生，给大家带来了一段热情洋溢的开幕词。他叮嘱同学们在激烈追逐的同时也要注意自身安全，在以加强两校的合作交流为目的的前提下，赛出风格，赛出水平，展示最棒的自己！

The principle of SCFLS, Eric Chen, told the students that, while having the competition, they need to pay attention to safety as well. In addition, with the purpose of strengthen the cooperation between two schools, they should race out of style and level.

天生自带光环，登场即是主场

奔跑、传球、投篮、呐喊，

关键一投的绝地反弹，

三分命中的高光时刻，

怎一个英姿飒爽了得。

 在这场以激情为翼的比赛中，

 没有平凡者，

 每个苏城外的学子都是C位。

而抛开篮球赛的形式本身，

他们所探索了更加珍贵的某些精神。

No one in this competition is ordinary, and every student from SCFLS is under the spotlight. What we gain from this basketball competition is some invaluable spirits.

由苏城外总校长陈杰先生跳球。当篮球被高高抛起时，比赛正式打响！你争我夺，我投你挡；你飞跃，我盖帽；我过人，你对抗。机关算尽，防不胜防。

Eric Chen tossed the ball up for a center jump, at which moment, the match began. 

 胜利从来不是一个人的荣耀，

 而是一群人的汗水。

一波又一波得心应手的战术配合，

一次又一次心有灵犀的精湛传球，

一发又一发精准无比的三分命中，

一群人，一起为学校争光。

A person would never obtain the victory but people. We shine and glow for our school.

高中的学长们一起为初中的学弟们呐喊助威。在他们的加油声中，小学弟们拼搏努力。比分交替，差距在2到3分之间。突然，对方变换战术，后场留人，前场一个长传，后场队员接球后，立马如入无人之境，就在起步上篮时，来自苏城外的队员，一个漂亮的盖帽，将其封死，化险为夷。大家长舒一口气。比赛精彩激烈，让人意犹未尽。

With the support and encouragement from the high school students, the junior students tried really hard. In such fierce competition, a successful shooting was even rare to see. When the scoring gap came to around 3 points, our rival team adjusted their tactics. They threw a long pass to the player in the backcourt, who was almost neglected by us, but surprisingly blocked by Jimmy Sun from Grade 9 Class 4, therefore, the audience finally had a moment to relieve.

在这场“没有硝烟的战场”中，

参赛队员虽然“摩拳擦掌”，

但也深入落实了

“友谊第一 比赛第二”

的奥林匹克精神。

In this battle ground without smoke, the spirit of Olympics has been implemented in despite of competitiveness.

成功并不仅仅意味着比分板上的数字，

我们为了什么而运动？

每个人的理由都可以各不相同。

为了享受运动的快乐，

为了热爱而热爱，

为了什么，

其实并不重要，

重要的是，只要你上场。

There are various reasons for why we do sports. It could be enjoyment or enthusiasm. However, it actually does not matter. What really matters is your participation.
