苏州外国语学校相城校区2019年学生会竞选活动在激动与紧张的氛围中拉开了帷幕。来自七、八年级的老师和同学们共同出席了这一盛会。

The 2019 student union election campaign opened in an atmosphere of excitement and tension in SCFLS. Teachers and students from Year 7 and Year 8 attended the event with enthusiasm.

现场气氛十分热烈，各位竞选者大展身手，逐梦苏城。

The candidates showed their talents to pursue their dreams. We can see the passion and dream in the students.

这里是激情与梦想的对决；这里是青春与活力的释放。豪气在这里升起，才情在这里尽显。

Their youth and vitality were released. Moreover, their courage and talents were evident.

荣誉至上，谢幕陈情

Honoring the first batch of Student Union

大会首先给首届优秀学生会干部进行表彰和颁奖。每一份激情与梦想，都是一朵艳丽的花；每一声问候与鼓励，都是一首不朽的诗；每一次奋斗与拼搏，都是一曲腾飞的歌。这些学生会的骨干成员，他们不畏寒暑，全心全意，细心到不放过任何一个死角；认真到不错失任何一个课间，公平公正，合情合理。

First of all, the school praised and presented awards to the excellent members of the first batch of Student Union. The student union members pursue their dreams with passion and they keep on encouraging each other. They work very hard together as a team. These key members of the student union are not afraid of anything, but they do everything wholeheartedly.

最终获此殊荣的有陈璟涑、杨嘉硕、王媛、温泉、莫佳怡。他们是学生中的精英，是新生的楷模。

In the end, the winners of this honor were Chen Yun, Yang Jiashuo, Wang Yuan, Wen Quan and Mo Jiayi. They are the elites and also role models for the new students.

新一届的竞选开始了！各个竞选者逐一登台，华山论剑，大展身手。

Then the new election began. All the candidates were ready to compete and showed their talents.

每位参选者先自我介绍，说明个人竞选的职务优势及今后即将开展的工作设想。由评委现场出题，对同一职位的竞选者开展擂台PK，并现场打分。

Firstly, each candidate needs to give a self-introduction and explain why they are running for the position. The students running for the same position should answer questions given by the judges and they would be given points on the spot based on their performance.

不少竞选者带来了才艺展示，富有感染力的表演赢得了现场阵阵掌声！

Many candidates also showcased their talent and won the applause of the audience!

烽火燃起，激情PK

最激动人心的时刻到来了，那就是新老学生会干部对同一职位进行擂台PK！

Here comes the most exciting part- candidates running for the same position had a last round of competition.

八年级的学长学姐们自有一种舍我其谁的气势，七年级的新生们也不甘示弱，大有初生牛犊不怕虎的拼劲。

The Year 8 students were full of confidence while Year 7 students were also unwilling to give up.

智慧的火花在这里激荡，专注的精神在此刻展现，这是竞争，更是交流。面对评委们给出的难题，他们或凝神思考，或成竹在胸，或侃侃而谈……无论结果如何，你们认真的样子就是青春最美好的勋章，也是SCFLS最靓丽的风景。

They demonstrated their wisdom and grit during the event. Besides competing, they were exchanging ideas. Facing the difficult questions from the judges, they dare to think, talk and share. No matter what the result is, their participation is more valuable than anything else.

扬帆起航

新任学生会席陈璟涑感言

The newly-elected President Catherine shared her feelings about the competition.

学生会所教会我们的不仅是身为干部的自信，具体工作中还收获了分量更重的东西——为人处事的小技巧。譬如在听取他人意见和保持自己的观点之间找到平衡……面对一些复杂问题时，就像是做一道几何题，虽然解法不同，但我们都没有错，殊途同归。”inclusive”是我们想要做到并为之不懈努力的……在人才济济的大家庭里，大家携手冲向更遥远的地方。

She thought the student union taught them how to be confident when they were working. At the same time, they learned something more important, that is how to conduct themselves. For example, they learned to make a balance between their own opinions and others’ suggestions. Catherine said all roads lead to Rome when they needed to solve the problems and they would make efforts to practice school motto “Inclusive ＆ Holistic”. She said they would do their best to go all the way with their efforts.

SCFLS初中部第二届学生会正式完成新一轮的任命，期待你们带领学生会走向新的征程！快乐与困难同在，机遇与挑战并存，前路漫漫，吾辈当上下求索！

The second batch of the SCFLS junior high school student union officially accepted a new round of appointments. The students are looking forward to going on the new journey. There are opportunities and challenges along the way, and they will strive to do their best.
