When it comes to mathematics, what do you think of first? Boring calculations, scary exams, unsolved problems...

在苏城外国语学校萌娃们的眼中，

数学可不是这个样子的！

在他们看来，

  数学可以“画”出来，

  也可以“秀”出来，

  更可以“玩”出来，

  充满了趣味和挑战。

But students of Soochow Foreign Language School don’t think so! They believe that mathematics can be "drawn" and "played", which is full of fun and challenges.

一、二年级的新晋“玩家们”热情高涨

他们在“数学嘉年华”里玩出了

与日常数学课不一样的欢乐和刺激

Young players in year 1 and 2 are very enthusiastic about the games! They had fun and excitement in the "Math Carnival" that were different from the daily math class.

纸杯搭高、数字连线、大家来找茬、记忆大挑战、小棒拼图形……一张张可爱的笑脸、一双双闪着光的眼睛，都是他们智慧的体现。

Paper cups are set high, numbers are connected, everyone comes to find faults, memory challenges, small sticks to fight graphics... The lovely smiling faces and shining eyes are the embodiment of their wisdom.

小游戏，大作用，

孩子们的专注力和记忆力

在游戏与互动中得到了提高。

Small games, great effects, children's concentration and memory have been unknowingly improved. 

你知道“东方魔板”吗？

三角形、正方形、平行四边形，

小兔子、小马、小房子……

让我们一起来天马行空吧！

Do you know "Oriental magic board"? We can make different shapes with tangram, such as triangle, square, parallelogram, rabbit, horse, house...Let's imagine freely!

在智趣拼图摊位前，孩子们用已有的图形复原出完整图案，或创造出新的图形，表达着他们对数学美的感受和对世界的理解与认知。

In puzzle game, children recall the graphics they have learned to restore complete patterns, or create new graphics to express their feelings of mathematical beauty and understanding and cognition of the world.

三年级的玩家可不是第一次

展现了他们独有的自信与智慧

穿梭在“24点”、“凑钱抱团”、“数独”等摊位之间，上一秒深锁眉头、下一秒笑逐颜开，勤于思考、勇于尝试的苏城外学子体会着数学的魅力。

It is not the first time for year 3 players to participate in such interesting activities, they may be more able to understand the meaning of "math is fun, learn through playing". 

熟悉的1、2、3……和简单的＋、－、×、÷相互游戏，竟然能产生这么奇妙的化学反应。“玩转24点”游戏中深藏的数学奥秘，争分夺秒的"抢答赛"，比的是手速与脑力的结合！

It is surprising that numbers and operations which are simple and familiar to us can produce such a wonderful chemical reaction. "24-point" game is full of mathematical mystery, the race against the clock "rush to answer", compares hand speed and brain power!

四、五年级的玩家已然“初长成”。

一向自信、敏捷的他们又有什么样的表现呢？

镜头锁定在“数字华容道”摊位前，只见随着他们手指上下左右移动，一个个数字方块在指尖迅速游走，一转眼的功夫，乱序数字已经有序排列。

Year 4 and 5 students are already experienced players. Guess what kind of surprise will be given by those confident and agile kids?Let’s see what’s happening in the booth of "digital Huarong Road". As their fingers move up and down,the number squares are moving rapidly on their fingertips. In a flash, the disordered numbers are arranged in order.

“思维火花对对碰，最强大脑勤思考”

风暴来袭，四、五年级的同学们面对“最强大脑”的称号，个个摩拳擦掌，跃跃欲试。只见他们有的奋笔疾书，有的苦思冥想，有的激烈讨论，一排排题卡转瞬间被“消灭殆尽”。

"The spark of thinking appears when the most powerful brain meet." The students of year 4 and 5 are eager to try the title of "the strongest brain".

Some of them write hard, some think hard, some discuss fiercely, and a row of question cards are "wiped out" in a flash.

趣味小游戏让孩子们看到了数学的魅力，享受到了成功的喜悦。数学“小玩家”们纷纷打卡盖章，集满即通关成功。

Fun games let children see the charm of mathematics and enjoy the joy of success.The young players who participated in the math carnival have punched in and stamped, and the level was successfully cleared when they were filled.
