These days the campus of SCFLS is full of atmosphere of science and technology. Today, let us walk into the opening ceremony of the 3rd SCFLS Science and Technology Festival, and feel the charm of science and technology together with the students of SCFLS.

11月23日，苏城外国语学校第三届科技节正式启幕。本届科技节以“快乐智造，融合创新”为主题，旨在进一步浓郁校园的科技氛围，进一步激发同学们的想象力，增强同学们的创造力，培养勤于思考，勇于尝试和敢于创新的优秀品质，打造苏城外科技特色项目。

On November 23rd, we officially welcomed the 3rd SCLFLS Science and Technology Festival. This science and technology festival to ‘illumination to intelligence  integration for innovation’ as the theme, aimed at further rich campus science and technology atmosphere, further stimulate the imagination of students, further enhance the creativity of students, cultivate diligent thinking, the courage to try and dare to innovate excellent quality, to create science and technology projects of SCFLS.

一部新中国科技的发展史，

不是一幅简单的记录图，

而是一部奋发图强的拼搏史，

是无数个被科技照亮的高光时刻，

是几代科学家锐意创新、勇攀科技高峰的创新故事。

In the opening ceremony, by watching the history of China's scientific and technological development brought us a lot of moving and deep thinking. A history of the development of new Chinese science and technology, not a simple record map but a hard-working history, is countless high-gloss moments illuminated by science and technology, is the innovation story of several generations of scientists determined to innovate, bravely climb the peak of science and technology.

通过观看中国科技发展史带给我们很多感动和深思。苏城学子自发立志，站在巨人的肩膀上，更要珍惜光阴，全面发展。

SCFLS艺术舞蹈团的学生和机器人共同演绎《冲向巅峰》表达着青春的力量，科技的魅力！

We are the beneficiaries of scientific and technological development, will also be participants in scientific and technological progress, and we may be the leader of scientific and technological progress in the future. As a student of IB World School, we shall take action now, not be afraid of the future， fly tour dreams and race to the top. Students from school Art-dance group and robots jointly perform "Race to the top" to express the power of youth, the charm of science and technology!

食物是人类赖以生存的物质基础，

古语说“民以食为天”,

就是高度概括了人类与食物的依存关系。

膳食结构对人体的生长发育、体质强弱、学习工作效能都会产生重要影响。青少年正处在生长发育的关键时期，每天保持合理的营养格外重要。四年级的小学生通过科普剧《合理营养最科学》倾情演绎合理膳食的重要性。

Food is the material basis for human survival. As the old saying goes, ‘Food is the first necessity of the people’, highly summarizes the interdependent relationship between human beings and food.Dietary structure has an important influence on the growth and development of human body, physical strength, learning and working efficiency.Teenagers are in a critical period of growth and development. It is particularly important to maintain reasonable nutrition every day.The fourth-grade pupils show the importance of a proper diet through the popular science drama "Reasonable Nutrition is the Most Scientific".

干冰是我们再熟悉不过的物质，

它的本质是固态的二氧化碳。

吹泡泡，制作泡泡液是我们儿时最大的乐趣。

如果干冰遇到泡泡又会带给我们什么惊喜呢？ 九年级的初中生通过联想和融合积极实践，用有趣的现象传递出丰富的道理。

Dry ice is a familiar material to all, and its essence is solid carbon dioxide.Blowing bubbles and making bubble liquid is the greatest fun of our childhood.What if dry ice meets bubbles?Through association and integration of active practice Grade 9 students of Junior high school convey a wealth of truth with interesting phenomena.

化学是研究物质变化的科学，

化学的世界是绚丽多彩的。

我们周围的事物都是由许多的化学元素组成，

只要你留心观察、用心思考，

就会发现生活中的化学知识到处可见。

我们看到的很多魔术其背后大多蕴含了科学知识。十一年级的高中生则是利用化学课上所学的知识，创造神奇的魔术效果。

Chemistry is the science of studying the change of matter, and the world of chemistry is colorful.As we all know, everything around us is made up of lots of chemical elements.As long as you pay attention and think carefully, you will find that the knowledge of chemistry in life is everywhere.There's a lot of science behind a lot of the magic we see.Grade 11 students of high school use what they learn in chemistry classes to create magical effects.

当天开幕式活动邀请到了家长代表参加。看到孩子们的炫酷的表演，纷纷点赞并拍照留念。

涂鸦不一定要用彩笔画，

光亦是一种原料，

 光影画是一种最新的展出形式，

效果唯美，给人营造出梦幻般的绚丽画面。

Graffiti does not have to be painted with colored strokes; light is also a raw material. Light and shadow painting, which can create wonderful pictures too, is a new form of exhibition.  

苏城外的学子们现场以光做画，光划过的地方，画幕会发出深邃的荧光。光影画充分将最先进的科技技术和绘画艺术相结合，形成了一个视觉冲击力极强的光影梦幻画卷。

SCFLS students paint with light. Light and shadow painting fully combines the most advanced technology and painting art to form a visual impact of the dream picture of light and shadow.

此次活动，由苏城外科技中心联合社区开展，受到了苏州广电看苏州栏目的关注与报道。

知识源于生活， 最终回归生活。

如果你留心发现和善于总结，

知识就慢慢装进你的口袋里。

“我知道，我知道！”“这题我会，我在家里尝试过！” 一个个“科学小达人”争先恐后地回答问题，丰富的知识背后是满满的求知欲，更是勤于思考，敢于尝试的漫长积累。

Knowledge comes from life and eventually returns to life. If you pay attention to discovery and are good at summarizing, knowledge will be yours finally. ‘I know it, I know it! ‘ ‘I will, I tried it at home!’ Look at these little science romokikis, behind this wealth of knowledge is an insatiable appetite for knowledge, but also a long accumulation of diligent thinking and a willingness to experiment.

包括创意编程“用程序表达世界”、“拔地而起”VEX机器人、“速度与激情”车模、手掷滑翔机比赛、创意设计、小制作小发明等一系列活动，期待同学们大展身手！

The festival will last until December 22, and will include a series of activities, including creative programming "expressing the world with programs", "Rising from the ground" VEX robot, "Fast and Furious" model car, handglider competition, creative design and small production inventions. Looking forward to the students' full potential.
